A $1 million Cash4Life ticket bought in Hudson County last year is weeks from expiring, lottery officials said.
The ticket was bought at E-Z Market & Gencobahis Liquor on the 100 block of Mallory Avenue in Jersey City on Feb. 22, 2016 and will be invalid after the same date this year.
If the ticketholder validates the second-prize ticket in time, he or she will win either $1,000 a week for life or $1 million.
The winning numbers were 8, 9, 10, 11, and 27. The Cash ball, which the ticket didn’t have, was 4.
Anyone holding the winning ticket should immediately sign the back and contact New Jersey Lottery Headquarters at 609-599-5800 or visit any lottery retailer to validate the ticket.
Once validated, the retailer will provide the ticket holder with a confirmation slip he or she can bring to lottery quarters in Lawrenceville.
The odds of buying a second-prize winner with a $2 ticket are 7,282,016 to 1.
A jackpot winning ticket which matches five numbers and the Cash ball and is worth either $1,000 a day for life or $7 million. The odds of hitting a Cash4Life jackpot are 21,846,048 to 1.
Cash4Life is played in New Jersey, Georgia, Indiana, Maryland, New York, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, and Virginia. Drawings are held every Monday and Thursday.
