It predicts that data traffic will increase by 30% during the event
MADRID, 27 Jun. (EUROPA PRESS) –
Vodafone has increased by 15% the number of stations with 5G capacity on the route of the Pride parade in the city of Madrid –which will run along the Prado-Recoletos axis– and its coverage will reach around 97% of the area of the parties, as reported by the company in a statement.
“This means enjoying speeds of up to 1 gigabit per second (Gbps) at strategic points in the city, including Cibeles, Gran Vía, Atocha and the Círculo de Bellas Artes area. In this way, the operator anticipates an increase estimated 30% of data traffic during the event”, the company highlighted.
In this sense, the company has indicated that it has ‘Massive MIMO’ technology in the areas of greatest concentration, as well as throughout the entire route of the event.
“This technology allows existing 4G capacity to be multiplied by up to 5 times so that users who attend massive celebrations like this one can enjoy a better network experience”, explained Vodafone.
