With the storm that battered the markets in recent months, investors have rediscovered the qualities stock of the family business. The winners of the highest increases in the CAC 40 over the past twelve months is largely dominated by these companies. There are indeed Kering, with a gain of nearly 30%, L’orĂ©al (+ 26%), LVMH (+ 19%) and Pernod Ricard (+ 16.5 per cent). The last two values to have joined the CAC 40, which is the ultimate consecration for a company listed on the Paris stock Exchange, are companies controlled by families: Dassault System and Hermes International. The first shows an increase close to 33 %, while the second climbs of about 25 % year on year. Most of these values today are at historic highs, while the CAC 40, which had peaked at close to 7000 points at the beginning of the month of September 2000, in is very far away.
