According to information provided by Municipal Security Authority, most of persons killed had a reference to Sinaloa drug cartel. It is considered one of most powerful drug trafficking organizations in world. Its members compete with hostile Juárez cartel for influence in region.
Again and again in Mexico re are acts of violence and revenge among members of rival drug dealer rings. Increasingly, family members are also killed. However, general security situation is not directly affected by se conflicts, says mayor of Ciudad Juárez, Armando Cabada: “This increase in murder does not mean a loss of control in security field, but is Result of a conflict between criminal groups. “
Last year, around 26,500 murders were recorded in Mexico between January and November. As a possible reason for this, experts see power vacuum that arose after delivery of drug boss El Chapo. Various cartels were now fighting to secure dominance in Mexican drug business.
