Cimic, through its mining subsidiary Thiess, has achieved the extension of a long-term contract for mining services in Melak (Indonesia) for an amount of 345 million Australian dollars (about 218 million euros), as reported by the subsidiary Australian ACS.
Specifically, starting in May 2023, Thiess will continue to provide full mining services to the Bayan Resources group, including loading, drilling, and coal transportation, among others.
“Thiess has delivered excellent results for Bayan Resources in Melak since 2008. This extension is a testament to our ability to deliver safe and sustainable long-term operations in Indonesia, while we continue to work on expanding our operations in other areas,” he stressed.
