“Big Bang Theory” Season 10, episode 14 is expected to reveal just how accurate Sheldon’s (Jim Parsons) emotion detection machine is.
In “The Emotion Detection Automation,” Sheldon beta tests an MIT invention after hearing that it can help him read other people’s emotions. Since Sheldon has been struggling with this all his life, he gets hooked on the machine instantly. In the sneak peek released by CBS, Sheldon finds out that the machine is only 85 percent accurate. This means that in order for him to really understand others, he needs to do it on his own and without the use of any type of machine.
When Leonard (Johnny Galecki) first hears about the invention, he jokes about asking the guys from MIT to reprogram Sheldon. After all, he’s been very difficult to deal with during the several years that they’ve lived together. Sheldon used to have certain house rules that Leonard was obliged to follow. There were also some instances wherein he wanted things to be done according to his own preferences. On the other hand, Leonard also loves Sheldon dearly, and they have made a pact to remain best friends until they’re old.
Elsewhere in the episode, Raj (Kunal Nayyar) will reunite with his four ex-girlfriends. Since he’s struggling with relationships, Raj will ask Emily (Laura Spencer), Emily (Katie Leclerc), Lucy (Kate Micucci) and Claire (Alessandra Torresani) if he is the real problem. By the looks of it, the four girls will be able to help Raj figure out how to treat women better the next time he finds himself in a relationship.
“Big Bang Theory” Season 10, episode 14 will air on CBS on Feb. 2 at 8 p.m. EST.
