No joke, the Wildlife Conservation Society has named two Madagascar hissing cockroaches at the Bronx Zoo for Chicago native John Mulaney and his Broadway co-star Nick Kroll, Mulaney announced Monday.
"Woke up to this letter. Thanks Wildlife Conservation Society and Bronx Zoo! No matter what happens @nickkroll and I will survive as roaches," Mulaney, 34, posted on Twitter as a caption to the letter from the New York-based conservation society.
In the letter, a society representive said the honor was bestowed to Mulaney and Kroll because of the success of their show "Oh, Hello," which recently completed its Broadway run. The cockroaches will live in a hollowed out tree trunk inside the zoo’s "Madagascar" exhibit.
