Melissa McCarthy plays Trump’s press secretary
Melissa McCarthy wasn’t the host of Saturday Night Live last week (that honor went to Kristen Stewart) but McCarthy did show up to eat chewing gum, offer an apology "on behalf of the press to me," and spray reporters with a Super Soaker as she introduced her impression press secretary Sean Spicer during a White House news conference sketch. Spuds MacKenzie revived as beer mascot
If you aren’t old enough to remember beer commercials (and t-shirts, and posters and all kinds of other merch) from the late 1980s, you may have been a little confused by the Bud Light commercial featuring a floating ghost dog during Super Bowl LI. Spuds Mackenzie, the "original party animal" that became a controversial pop culture phenomenon after the beer company introduced him during a Super Bowl ad in 1987, returned as a floating spectre in a new commercial that was Christmas Carol-esque. So many new movie and TV show trailers
The new trailer for Disney’s Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales (below) aired Sunday night during the Super Bowl in sweeping fashion. The fifth and final installment of the franchise brings viewers an army of deadly ghost sailors who are, naturally, after Jack Sparrow (Johnny Depp). The dead crew is led by Captain Salazar, an enemy of Sparrow’s who is looking to settle an old score. And it’s not just Depp who’s returning. Orlando Bloom as the now-immortal Capt. Will Turner and Geoffrey Rush as Sparrow’s one-time nemesis Hector Barbossa will both make appearances. The movie opens in theaters May 26.
