Apparently Guero’s Taco Bar on South Congress in Austin is known for attracting actors like Ryan Gosling and Quentin Tarantino. The eatery was even featured in Tarantino’s “Death Proof” film.

Dressed in a burnt orange leather coat and sporting a full beard, Nicolas Cage surprised a group of his fans who were in Austin Sunday for a movie movie marathon… of Nicolas Cage movies.
It was the fourth year in a row “C4GED 4-EVER” sought to bring the actor to the event to gorge on the Oscar-winner’s films at Alamo Drafthouse.
Well, it happened. Before the marathon began, Cage appeared in front of the movie screen, according to video of the event posted on Alamo Drafthouse’s Twitter page. He read Edgar Allen Poe’s “A Tell-Tale Heart,” helped a couple get engaged, posed for photos with fans, and watched five of his own movies.

“I wanted to do something special,” he said in a video posted by Alamo Drafthouse. “…my way of saying, ‘Thank you.'”

His fans were definitely thankful.
In Instagram and Twitter posts, Cage enthusiasts said they got to stand “next to God.”
