Well, how about that? Danielle Peskowitz Bregoli, the 13-year-old girl responsible for the “Cash Me Outside” meme, is headed back to “Dr. Phil.” The teen originally went to the show to talk to host Dr. Phil McGraw in September, but the clip of her appearance didn’t go viral until January.
The “Dr. Phil” show released a new promo Thursday for Bregoli’s encore appearance. She is slated to be on the stage with Dr. Phil next week.
“Look who’s back for round two!” caption for the promo read. By Friday, the video was viewed more than 15 million times, garnered over 75,000 reactions and thousands more shares and comments.
“She was on the show in September,” the promo starts. “You never suspected she would become one of the biggest memes on the internet.”
The original clip where Bregoli said, “cash me outside, how bow dah” instead of, “catch me outside, how about that,” was viewed more than 95 million times on YouTube.
A local church went viral after they wrote, “Cash God inside, how bow dat?”
Now, coming next week, she’ll be back on stage,” promo teases. “Wanna do it again?” Bregoli asks.
For those who are unfamiliar with the phrase, Urban Dictionary describes the term in the following way: “Basically, it means, come talk to me outside so that we can sort out our issues and potentially get into a physical fight.”
Just like any celebrity, Bregoli was hit with a death hoax. This time it was by fake news site Fly Height.
The text claimed:
“After months of bullying from social media and peers at school, Danielle Ann was found dead in her room on January 23…a fight with a fellow student leaked online of Danielle being drug out of a car and repeatedly struck in the head… Just days after, Danielle was found unresponsive by her mother in her bedroom. She was then rushed to the hospital and later pronounced dead late Monday evening.”
An airdate for the episode has not been revealed.
