Meek Mill responded Friday to rumors about his alleged involvement in the burglary at Nicki Minaj’s Los Angeles home. An estimated $200,000 worth of items were stolen from the “Anaconda” singer’s house, following which rumors surfaced that her ex-boyfriend had orchestrated the theft.
“Do it look like I rob people?” Mill said when TMZ reporters caught him on camera. The rapper showed off the expensive jewelry he was wearing.
“I got [$450,000] around my neck, [$80,000] on my wrist, do it look like I rob people?” Mill told TMZ.
A break-in at Minaj’s 11,500-square-foot Los Angeles home reportedly took place earlier this week, with the burglars ravaging the interiors by breaking objects and flipping the furniture around the house. Minaj was not at home at the time of the burglary, TMZ reported, adding that a police investigation is currently underway into the incident.
While Mill spoke out about the theft at Minaj’s home, he dismissed questions from the paparazzi about his current status with Minaj. “You asking too many f—— questions about my personal life, real talk.”
Mill and Minaj announced their break up in mid-January but did not give out any reason for the split. The former couple started dating in 2015, and has also worked on several songs together, including “All Eyes On You” and “Froze.”
“To confirm, yes I am single,” Minaj tweeted last month while addressing breakup rumors. The two unfollowed each other on Instagram and the Philadelphia rapper later deleted his account.
Just a day after Minaj announced her split, a now-deleted tweet from Mill hinted at the 34-year-old’s pregnancy.
On Friday, Minaj shared a photo of her with a giant baby bump, most likely poking fun at the pregnancy rumors. However, the caption of the photo left many fans confused.
