From the information phase to the complementary phase, here are the dates of the Parcoursup 2022 calendar:
21 December 2021 : information phase , Parcoursup opens its web pages for consultation. You can consult the courses available in 2022, and learn about the expected and the conditions of admission. This is also the time to fine-tune your orientation project with your principal teachers and/or guidance counselors. From January 20 to March 29, 2022 : this is the registration phase on Parcoursup, with opening of the file and formulation of wishes. You must complete the different sections of the file (CV, cover letters, activities and interests). Your main mission also: to express your wishes (after March 29, this will no longer be possible). You can make up to 10 wishes and 20 sub-wishes. This two-month delay still gives you time to explore the courses and refine your choices. These few days of “bonuses” aim at the final validation of the wishes, but also the verification of your applications and their finalization, via the contribution of all the supporting documents requested, as well as by a final touch to your cover letters! From June 2nd to July 15th, 2022 : main admission phase , with response of the institutions to the candidates Browsup. You will then begin to find out if the training courses you are targeting have selected your application, rejected it or put you on the waiting list. From June 23 to September 16, 2022 : complementary admission phase , with entry of new wishes and proposals for admission. This phase is dedicated to those who have received only negative responses, or who have missed the check mark of their registration. During this “second chance session”, candidates can apply within the formations that still have places, with the same rules of the game as during the previous procedure, but in an accelerated version.
N.B.: After the results of the baccalaureate, on the request of the student from his file, a commission is responsible for proposing to the bachelors who have not obtained any positive answer an assignment in higher education, under the leadership of the rector. This is the CAES (Commission d’accès à l’enseignement supérieur) of the student’s academy, and it provides personalized support.
What do you need to know about Browsup answers?
Parcoursup answers must arrive in 2022 from May 27. In order to reduce the stress of the candidates, the main procedure (admission phase) ends in mid-July instead of early September.
The long-awaited step of the Traverssup responses sent by the trainings takes place as follows: the candidate first receives an alert. That means he has one or more answers. The answers are “yes”, “yes if”, or “pending” for non-selective streams (general licenses). A “no” can only be issued by selective streams (prepas, IUT, BTS…).
When the number of applications exceeds the number of places, i.e. in the “tension streams”, universities prefer a priori the applications that most closely match the proposed training, in terms of skills as well as achievements or projects. Each time a Traverssup candidate receives two “yes” to different training courses, he has the obligation to choose one of the two at the moment, in order to avoid a congestion of the system. But said candidate keeps in parallel his wishes “pending”.
