The parents of two brothers accused of beating a neighbor to death were found dead inside their Joliet home Sunday morning, according to reports.

Patrick and Angel Morgan were pronounced dead shortly after 4 a.m. Sunday at their home in the 400 block of Bluff Street, according to the Will County Coroner’s Office. The office said the couple appears to have been involved in a "domestic incident."

Attempts to reach the Joliet police Sunday about the deaths were unsuccessful.

The Morgans’ adult sons, Blaique and Amari Morgan, are accused of killing 62-year-old Robert Bielec in January 2016, reports said. They are each being held in Will County in lieu of $1.5 million bail, officials said. Both brothers lived next door to Bielec in the 1700 block of Houston Avenue in Joliet Township.

Bielec and the brothers had a long-running disagreement, and Bielec was killed after making a sexual comment about the brothers’ sister, according to the Will County State’s Attorney’s Office.

Court records indicate the Morgans had a troubled marriage. Angel Morgan filed an order of protection against her husband in February 2009 that lasted for 21 days, according to the Will County Circuit Clerk’s office. An order of protection filed by Patrick Morgan in March 2016 was dismissed the same day it was filed, according to circuit clerk records.

In May of 2016, Angel Morgan filed for divorce, but the petition was dropped in October, according to court records.
