If the Bulls want to reach Dwyane Wade’s goal of breaking even on their six-game trip, they’ll need to overcome their shorthanded status with a second-half rally.

Wade, Jimmy Butler, Nikola Mirotic and Paul Zipser all are out against the Timberwolves as the Bulls dressed 10 players on the final game of a trip that thus far has produced a 2-3 mark.

Andrew Wiggins scored 16 points and Karl Anthony-Towns added 12 as the Timberwolves grabbed a 57-40 halftime lead. The Timberwolves shot 57.1 percent with 30 points in the paint.

Bobby Portis’ nine points led the Bulls, who committed 10 turnovers.

Butler’s right heel has worsened, according to coach Fred Hoiberg. Wade’s right wrist that he hurt during Friday’s loss to the Suns hasn’t improved. Mirotic woke up with back spasms. And Zipser, who already had a sore left ankle, is throwing up at the team hotel.

Tom Thibodeau is trying to sweep the season series against his former team.

Starting lineups
