Tiffany Trump recently made headlines after fashion writer Christina Binkley took to social media, claiming no one would want to sit next to the U.S. President Donald Trump’s daughter. In a Twitter post, Binkley shared photos of the “empty seats” next to Tiffany.

Binkley was referring to the Philipp Plein event on Monday when two fashion editors reportedly “moved” seats to avoid being next to 23-year-old Tiffany, Daily Mirror noted. Binkley tweeted, “Nobody wants to sit next to Tiffany Trump at Philipp Plein, so they moved and the seats by her are empty.”

Despite the reports of the recent NYFW seating fiasco, German designer Philipp Plein defended Tiffany and spoke out against her treatment at his show. Plein even stressed Tiffany “should not have to be punished” because of her father’s actions.

“Tiffany Trump is not a politician,” Plein told TMZ on Thursday. “I don’t think she has anything to do with the drama and all the discussion going on. “Can you blame someone, like a family member, or can you blame a daughter for having a father with the wrong political direction for some people?”

Even though Plein admitted that he did not personally invite Tiffany to his first show, he said everyone was welcome to come to his fashion show as long as they want to and they are interested. Plein even asked why people should not come since America is a free country.

Meanwhile, if Tiffany was snubbed at the Philipp Plein show, the presidential daughter experienced an opposite treatment during Vivienne Tan’s show. According to Daily Mail, Tiffany was surrounded on all sides. In fact, she sat with her Instagram friends Andrew Warren and Reya Benitez while a secret service agent was discretely observing during the event.

Due to the snubbing incident, “The View” host Whoopi Goldberg invited Tiffany to seat with her at the NYFW shows. On national television, Goldberg, who is known to be a critic of Tiffany’s dad, extended her invite. Tiffany, on the other hand, accepted the invitation through a Twitter post after learning Goldberg’s offer.

“You know what, Tiffany, I’m supposed to go to a couple more shows,” Goldberg said on “The View,” CNN quoted. “I don’t know what’s going to happen, but I’m coming to sit with you. Because nobody’s talking politics. You’re looking at fashion. She doesn’t want to talk about her dad. She’s looking at the fashion.”
