Once again, the NBA trade deadline is fast approaching — Thursday, Feb. 23 — so here’s another look at the latest from the rumor mill …

* The Detroit Pistons may not be actively looking for a trade partner for center Andre Drummond, but that doesn’t mean they’re not willingly listening, per ESPN’s Marc Stein:

Hearing more and more teams say today they believe Detroit will NOT discourage trade inquiries for center Andre Drummond this week.

In a long look at the Pistons last week, ESPN’s Zach Lowe reported Detroit had “quietly explored” the trade market for Andre Drummond, along with point guard Reggie Jackson, but was “disappointed with the potential return” and said a Drummond deal was a long shot.

The Pistons inked Drummond to a contact extension last summer for five years and $125 million.

For what it’s worth, Mike Prada of SB Nation puts the likelihood of a Drummond trade at 1.5/10.

* The Minnesota Timberwolves have reported interest in New York Knicks point guard Derrick Rose, according to ESPN’s Ian Begley:

Sources say the Timberwolves are motivated to trade veteran point guard Ricky Rubio, as team president and coach Thibodeau sees rookie Kris Dunn as the point guard of the future for Minnesota.

The Timberwolves, sources say, are among several teams to reach out to the Knicks asking about potential trades for Rose.

Rose, who was traded from the Bulls to New York last offseason, will be a free agent this summer and played for current Timberwolves coach Tom Thibodeau in Chicago.
