CHIPPEWA LAKE, Ohio – A dive team has been sent out to Chippewa Lake, though the Medina County Sheriff’s Office would not immediately say why Tuesday afternoon.

A sheriff’s office dispatcher told cleveland.com that she could not say what, if anything, has been found in the lake. A captain on duty will release more information when it becomes available, the dispatcher said.

Chippewa Lake is a small village of about 700 people, according to the 2010 U.S. Census. It is less than five miles from Lafayette Township, where a township trustee – Bryon Macron – went missing in December.

Macron’s SUV was found in a public parking on Chippewa Lake several hours after he was discovered missing, authorities said at the time. There was blood inside the vehicle.

This post will be updated when additional information becomes available.
