ALBANY — The Local Veterans Art Show opened Wednesday at the Samuel S. Stratton Veterans Affairs Medical Center, 113 Holland Ave.
The show highlights the creative works of veterans in the Albany VA in the Recreation Therapy & Creative Arts Therapy Section.
Several artists’ works are on display. Three more artists are showing pieces that are not in the competition.
The Local Art Show is judged, and the first-place winners advance to the National Veterans Creative Arts Festival National later this year.
This is National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans week.
Visit the free show between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday at the medical center’s third-floor auditorium.
Attendees may vote for their favorite piece to be honored as the People’s Choice Award Recipient.
