CLEVELAND, Ohio – Amanda Berry was kidnapped by Ariel Castro for 10 years before escaping in 2013. Now, she a starting a new chapter at a local news station.

WJW Channel 8, the local Fox affiliate, announced Sunday that Berry would be joining its news team. 

It was revealed Monday that Berry will cover missing person cases.

Berry was rescued from Castro’s home in April of 2013, as well as her then-6-year-old daughter, Gina DeJesus, and Michelle Knight.

A lot has happened for Berry in the four years since her escape.

She’s made several public appearances, wrote a memoir with DeJesus, and is now diving into journalism.
