Marijuana possession, Highland Drive: On Jan. 16, police were dispatched to a Highland Drive home after parents discovered their daughter had marijuana. They felt she was headed down the wrong path.

They told her she couldn’t smoke in the house. That’s when the daughter went to her car and returned with something underneath her shirt. The mother than confronted the daughter. She was able to get two baggies of marijuana from the girl. That’s when the daughter hit both her mother and dad.

She then left in her car. An officer located the car on I-77. The officer escorted the daughter home. She was later arrested for drug abuse, but the parents refused to press assault charges. The parents said they wanted her daughter to get help for her marijuana addiction.
