A Wichita, Kan. man is now the envy of every football fan in the country after winning a Bud Light sweepstakes that awards him Super Bowl tickets for life.
Over the holidays, Lyle Randa ran out for a 30-pack of Bud Light when the beer supply at this family party was running low. As he was stocking cans from the pack in the fridge, he noticed one was gold — meaning that he was eligible for Bud Light’s “Super Bowl Tickets for Life” sweepstakes.
“My wife and I immediately uploaded a photo to BudLight.com,” Randa told the Wichita Eagle.
As luck would have it, Randa was later chosen from 37,000 possible entries to win the grand prize: Super Bowl tickets for the rest of his life– or up to 51 years worth of games.
“I had no idea that an ordinary Bud Light run would change my life,” Randa told KWCH. “This is a dream come true!”
On Thursday, Anheuser-Busch will be flying Randa off to Houston to do interviews with ESPN and “NFL Live,” and, of course, to watch the New England Patriots take on the Atlanta Falcons in Super Bowl LI.
Randa’s beloved Kansas City Chiefs didn’t make the big game this year, so he’s chosen to cheer for the Patriots.
But the lucky beer buyer says he isn’t planning to crack open that golden can anytime soon.
“That can will never be opened up,” Randa told the Witchita Eagle. “I am going to make a shadow box and put all my Super Bowl tickets and the can in it.”
