An article in the Sun Post last week incorrectly identified the fiscal years of 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 as being addressed by the November 2016 renewal levy. The fiscal years that levy addresses are 2019-2020 and 2020-2021.

During the public session of the meeting, Jeff Wensing, president of the North Eastern Ohio Education Association, pledged their support to the school board’s efforts in the fiscal recovery plan.

“Superintendent Carl Hilling has provided a much-needed atmosphere of collaboration in the district,” Wensing said.

The Focus on the Future Initiative committee meetings were to continue at 6 p.m. Feb. 8. More meetings will be scheduled in March and April to determine long-term goals.

The next school board meeting is 5:30 p.m. Feb. 21 in the Parma Senior High School Little Theater. The seven Focus on the Future “action teams” will make presentations to the school board.
