After months of calling Trump and his advisers’ ties to Russia fake news, the truth is coming out. Most of the GOP has poo-pooed the evidence of Russia’s involvement in our 2016 election and Trump and his advisers’ connection to the Putin regime.

It’s become clear that we can’t believe anything that comes out of this White House. Their handling of our national security interests is dangerous. Imagine if recent revelations and similar security breaches had been uncovered in the Obama White House or Clinton’s had she become President. The GOP Congress would be tripping over themselves to hold public hearings. Instead, most of the Republican Congress is dancing around the issues if not silent.

I watched our Republican representative standing behind Paul Ryan today and nod in agreement as the Speaker said Trump did the right thing? Really? Trump was warned three weeks earlier about Flynn’s contacts with Russia including the latest ones, and yet his administration lied over and over about it. That’s the right thing? Our White House stinks of conflicts of interest and secret Russian ties, before and after the election. It’s ludicrous to think Trump and Pence were not part of this for months.

Greg Walden, you owe Oregonians more leadership than just nodding at the Speaker’s poo-pooing the Russia-Trump connection. This is not fake news.
