Sands Bethlehem Event Center has announced a varied group of new shows coming to Bethlehem this year, covering classic rock, Broadway and stand-up comedy.
On Wednesday, April 5 at 8 p.m., Idina Menzel’s 2017 World Tour will hit Sands. The singer of the mega-hit “Let It Go” from Disney’s “Frozen” released her latest album, “idina.” in September. Menzel, a Tony Award winner, has appeared in Broadway hits “Wicked,” “Rent” and “If/Then.” Tickets for her performance range from $69 to $99.
Legendary progressive rock band Kansas, the group behind “Carry on Wayward Son” and “Dust in the Wind,” comes to Bethlehem Saturday, May 27 at 8 p.m. Last year, the band released “The Prelude Implicit,” its 15th studio album and first studio release in 16 years. The new record follows a four-decade career with three multi-platinum albums and two million-selling singles. Today the band features two remaining original members, following the retirement of lead singer Steve Walsh in 2014. Tickets for Kansas’ show range from $39.50 to $59.50.

Looking ahead, Sands will also welcome stand-up comedian Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias on Thursday, Aug. 21 at 8 p.m. as part of his “Fluffymania – 20 Years of Comedy” tour. The California-born comedian, known for his energetic performances, released his latest special, “I’m Sorry for What I Said When I Was Hungry,” on Netflix last year. He has lent his voice to animated films like “Planes” and acted in features such as “Magic Mike XXL.” Tickets for his performance cost $45 and $65 with Gold Circle Seating priced at $75.
The new additions add to an already impressive line-up of acts coming to the venue this year, including The 1975, Tony Bennett and Tom Segura.
