TRENTON – A Trenton man was arrested by U.S. Marshals Thursday for helping rob two people outside of their home earlier this month, according to Trenton police.

Harold Ayers, 30 of Trenton, was charged with robbery and weapons offenses around 9 a.m. Thursday in connection with an incident on Feb. 4.

Police said that Ayers and another man robbed a man and a woman on Division Street as the couple was coming home around 2 a.m.

The woman told police at the time that one of the two suspects had come up to her, carrying what she believed was a handgun, and demanded her wallet. The other suspect started a fight with the man she was with, according to police.

Police are still looking for the other suspect in the robbery.
